Box Shot 3D 3.2.2

April 3rd, 2011

Just a bugfix release for all the issues of the previous version. Here’s what has been fixed:

  • Transparent shapes are rendered correctly
  • Preset dialogs fixed in Windows version
  • “High end” rendering mode added for those who don’t like the “Print” results (very slow)
  • Preview window updates faster while editing
  • Reload button updates preview window

As far as I can see, all the mentioned issues are fixed now, so I can continue with the multiple shapes.

Take care.

Thanks vitaly. Just downloaded the latest version. It gives me pleasure to open Boxshot3D and see what I’ve achieved with it. Thanks more than a million or gazillion times. From Nigeria

Hello, after this update there’s a blue hue to all images I load into the app. I’ve tried a bunch of setting variations and can’t seem to get rid of it. Any ideas?

Really great work on your continuous improvements to this software!

I do miss the old skydome lighting though as I have noticed when you use the ‘Book On The Floor’ shape with magazine type and opened at ‘End’, there is a greyish black solid line which appears just off the spine and looks quite unrealistic.

The results were much better in 3.1

Hope you can have a look into this?

Ross, you can use the old skydome lighting as well, just select the “dark” mode. I’ll take a look at the issue you mentioned.

Thanks, I have tried the “dark” mode but it is still there… as well as various settings in the lighting to try and wash out the solid line but by taking the settings to far it was effecting the natural light and shadows to the rest of the magazine.
