Stepback Book Covers

July 21st, 2010

Jason from Simon & Schuster asked me to add some stepback book shapes. These books have smaller front page, so you can see a bit of the next one. This is still in-progress, but some images are worth viewing

The width of the front sheet is adjustable, so it is possible to transform the shape to a simple soft cover book, and open it a bit more.

	Looks great, the orange stands out, it pops;) Is this several months away. when you say still in progress? Or anytime soon? Is there a faint texture on the jacket? Cant wait to see more…and yeh il keep on mentioning stacked “Business cards please” until the cows come home lol

	I notice the cover of the third book has more of a curl than is now possible in the current version. Will adjustable curls be a new feature? Would it be possible to someday have a feature where we can have books opened, instead of in the middle, to any place we want, such as the first quarter of its number of pages or even its last few pages?

	Loz, I am doing my best to release it in August. The TODO list has about 140 items and about 100 of them are already finished. As for stacked business cards, I am going to write about this here in the next few days. Paul, unfortunately, adjustable curls are just a dream right now. A book shape is too complex to compute it automatically. Perhaps when everything else will be finished, I’ll finally try to do what you want. But not in the near future, sorry.
