Little Things That Matter

October 15th, 2009

Small improvements can make a big difference for everyday users. In 2.13 you will be able to use several images for single side, so Box Shot 3D needs a compact control to pick images. Here’s what I have so far (click to see full versions):

You may now see a list of opened files for current project. In Windows version this can be done by pressing arrow button, in Mac version you need to click the file name field. Mac version of control supports drag’n'drop of images.

This file picker control is useful to assign the same image to several sides. For example to assign a “full cover” image to all three sides of book. I will show more uses of this control in the future posts.

As always, comments are welcome. And if you know better implementations of file picker – feel free to share.

Wow, this looks like a very useful development – excited to get my mitts on 2.13 :)

This is the best App I have ever bought bar none!

Any news on when 2.13 is likely to be released? More screen shots of the new shapes? Great functionality though – it looks fantastic!

Great! Wasn’t it supposed to be released in September? I’m really looking forward to the open box…

Keep up the good work, Steve

Yes, 2.13 was supposed to be released in September, but some “internal” modifications took too much time. Now I work on “visual” parts of Box Shot 3D and finally have something to show here.
