PDS files... layered... hmmmm - could be interesting to have ApplesCore Graphic Engine separate the SHADOWS, the SHAPE and the BACKGROUND. Maybe like the utility "layers" http://layersapp.com/ that takes and separates your screen captures.

As for PNGs - we this file format are very good for PRINTING. Besides you can change the rgb into cmyk if needed. PNGs are well suited for many reasons for example web graphics and anything that requires the background to be transparent.
HECK - I dont wish to spend time to create a clipping path... and a beautiful shadow with a drop off -- transparency - THATs why you want a PNG!

A perfect example would be a PowerPoint document, you don't want the white background from MOST flattened IMAGE file formats GONE... you can use PowerPoints colour select and make a solid colour vanish -- but a PNG with its alpha-channel -- the image appears already CLIPPED. A (PNG) well its a great FORMAT.

I just STOPPED using Cheetah3D for product shots... I'll continue with that application specifically when a product walk-around and demo is requested - which is a completely different stage of design for my clients.

so... SHAPES... hmmm a few more would always be welcoming.

Like "cylinders" -- or -- better yet cans or jars... NEVERTHELESS BoxShot3D fulfills the needs required. AND its FAST. I just noticed the "shape" bag slick... so a MILK CARTON - is very possible. looking forward. And Sweeeeeeeeet.

Beautiful - I definitely think transparency for die-cuts (holes) will be a fantastic addition. The Suit-Sweetens - many thanks

Krizz, PNG and BMP are both lossless formats and may be used for printing exactly as TIFF.

TIFF is a container that may contain lots of data types. I work on it and may be add it in the next release.

The same for PSD. I'll try to add it, but not right now.

And could you please, please consider making it possible to save the generated files as Photoshop PSD or even TIFF format?

JPEG is so, well, lossy and who in their right mind would use BMP or PNG for print quality images?

PSD/TIFF - please!

Yes please Jackets, that would be very handy indeed, and changing depths would be great to have, some books are like house bricks, very thick.

Cheers!

Martin, I'll put book jackets to the TODO-list.
It is not so easy to allow depth changing for opened books. I need to think about this.

Anyway thanks for ideas.

Just one more thing - the opened books/magazines look fabulous. Would it be possible to create variable depths of the books - at the moment it is fixed, so some books end up looking too thin or too fat.

Hi, I think the hardback book shape needs to be improved. The soft cover books (paperbacks) look fantastic, but the cased books do not look terribly realistic. Most of the hardback books will have a wrap around jacked - at the moment the hard cover is actually the cover. This is fine for cheaper hard back books, but for more classy and expensive hard back books one needs a jacket that goes around hard cover. Do you think you can incorporate this idea?
