Hi there. Will I be able to render boxes with black background aswell? In that case, what happens with the shadow? Is there a possibility to create a reflection a la Apple?

Carlos, yes it is possible to render boxes on black background. Select “Background” tab, click “Color” and select black color.

Of course, shadows will not be visible on black background. If you want to make them visible - render box with transparent background and do the rest in any graphics editor (like Photoshop or Pixelmator).

And what do you mean by “reflection a la Apple”? If you need something like this, then yes, it is possible.

Hi,

I have some questions for you:

I´m excaited about your Mac OsX release, but as I did posted earlier
I can use Mac version because its not Tiger compatible.
I know you are working on this but I have questions:

If I purchase Box Shot now, do I have license for both Mac and PC ?
or I have to choose ?

You will see, I work with PC too, however I prefer Mac though.

I wish to use your software as soon as possible so until I get your Mac Tiger compatible version I could work with PC .

?????

Paul, if Box Shot 3D crashes, it shows Crash Report window at the next launch. It contains almost everything I need to reproduce and fix the problem. Please press “Send” button there and I will receive the problem details.

If you don’t see this window - please let me know via contacts form or by e-mail, I’ll try to help.

Thanks for reporting the problem.

Does anyone know how to register this product? I have my key # but nowhere does it prompt me to register so I still have the watermarks. I need help urgently as I have a deadline today.

Rachel, you need to select “Box Shot 3D” item in the main menu, then click “Registration” item. Then enter your license details there. That’s all.

2.10 is under active development right now, but elevating and rotating of images is already implemented. I’ll post some images in the near future.

In 2.10, is the depth of books in the stack mode can be change?

Unfortunately, no.
This requires complex changes that (I hope) will be made in the future releases. But not right now.

Yeah, this looks very interesting *but* we do a lot of D-ring binder products (sales manuals and such) and there doesn’t appear to be an option to generate 3D images of shapes like that. Is this something you’re planning to add in the near future?

Such binders are planned for ver.2.10, and it will even be possible to open and close them like CD or DVD cases.

But if you want to have some paper to be placed inside, you should wait a bit more. Do you need this?

Hi Box Shot 3D,

Is there a planned launch date for ver.2.10 or a list of features to be added to it?

Thanks!

It was planned to release it in September, but as you may see, this didn’t happen. So much to do and only 24 hours in a day.

2.10 will be an “object”-release: mostly consist of new shapes and new features for old shapes.

I’ll made a post when it will be possible to show something interesting.

P.S.: Thanks for the patience :)

Thanks for the reply, BS3D. Yes, pages inside would be good if for no other reason than that a (closed) folder with no content looks like a dummy product. However, from my point of view, there would be no need to be able to open the folder, although I can imagine that would a very nifty for others. Looking forward to some samples!
